The Cristal Samaña Hotel is located quite near the big Salar de Uyuni.

The only hotel in Bolivia projected based on Feng Shui principles.

Its architecture is in coca leaf shape, which reflects energy

and balance.

The walls, the floors, the furnishings and the entire hotel’s

structure are completely made of salt! Its rooms are

decorated with elements of the astrology “aymará” carved on salt!

The design of the Cristal Samaña Hotel provokes our imagination, creativity and knowledge. All the sketch really seemed to fall on the insignificance before the magic spectacle of the Path to Salar de Uyuni.

Without a doubt, there is no better opportunity to incorporate all the old wisdom of the Feng Shui’s holy architecture,which became eternal by the beauty put on its architectural works, as the Pharternon in Greece, the Notre Dame Cathedrals or the Sun’s Door in Tiahuanaco. This knowledge conceived architecture as a bridge between human being and universe. As the habitat looks like to the universe’s form, its proportion and geometry, it turns into a real energy receiver, giving us balance and contributing to our cell’s renewal. It expands our minds and provides us well-being.

The nature as a universe’s reflection, teaches us the harmonious forms and the perfect geometry. From the elementary particles’ location to the galaxies’ composition, they are based on a unique language.

On the other hand, for the holy architecture, the use of natural materials is as important as its form. It gives to the constructions an ecological and bioenergy characteristic.

The Salar: The salt, the lithium, and other minerals that compose the Salar, constitute an enormous filter to all the electromagnetic damage which are caused not only by the technology but also by the earth and cosmic origin. This multiplies the energy strength that is given to the people who choose the Cristal Samaña Hotel. And if they realize that the floor, the walls and the furnishings are entirely made of salt this will multiply much more.

The infinite horizon, the line that divides the white salt and the sky, makes the Salar de Uyuni a male expression: the Yang. The balance, the harmony, following the Andes’ cosmological vision, are admired by the opposite’s complement: the CHACHA-WARMI (woman-man) or by the Chinese cosmological vision: the Ying and the Yang.

The design of the Crystal Samaña Hotel harmonizes the landscape. It’s based on the form of the three big leaves of coca and on the aureate number: Phi (1,618).
Therefore, the design of the hotel’s interior is carefully planned to maintain the harmony of the proportions: relations between length, width and height, dimensions of the doors and windows and the general architecture of the building. This way, the cosmic energy freely flows like conoid waves movement and invade all the spaces.

The bedrooms are decorated with arches carved on salt and with Aymará astrology’s engraving, which are big influence to the human being. For example, one of the serpent’s eyes symbolizes knowledge and helps to arouse the people’s consciousness.

As the hotel is located in a place where there is the biggest solar activity in the world, it was adopted a solar energy system to achieve some comfort levels, as the heating and the supply of hot water, for the purpose of reduce the most external industrial energy dependence.

The restaurant-bar is located in the second building. It was turned into a viewpoint with the huge Salar in front of it. Far from the bedrooms, it gives to the visitors all the freedom that this space provides.

The Cristal Samaña Hotel has some activities for a total energy renewal of the guest:

• Astronomical Observatory
• Party Hall.

In short, there are pictures of mandalas in strategic points for the necessary conditions to turn the Cristal Samaña Hotel into a real energy receiver. Outside there is a labyrinth which proportions are in accordance with the esoteric wisdom, where the visitor can travel around it and feel the benefits in each part of his/her body.

Finally, on the left side, there is a sculptural Salt Temple supported by catenary arches as gaudiano style, one part with conoid waves form and side aisles which invite us to meditate. This architectural treasure provides to the hotel a terrific, mystic and spiritual touch.
